Quilting Machines

Quilting Machines

Quilting machines support the time honored tradition of quilt making. This heritage has been passed down from one generation to the next for hundreds of years.

  • A regular quilting machine makes blocks that are 4 to 6 inches on a side. The fabric layers are pinned before they are sewn together. The fabric sandwich is then hand-fed into the machine. Pins are removed as the sandwich is sewn.
  • Piecing is easy and straight forward. Built-in or attachable walking feet keep the fabric from shifting. Walking presser feet are on all our quilting machines.
  • Long arm quilting machines allow pieces up to 18 inches on a side. A long arm quilting table may be 10 to 14 feet wide. It is easy to create a very large quilt. Long stitches and large patterns become simple to make. When sewing the piece, the machine moves while the fabric remains in one place.
