Yosemite Hotel RoomsThree types of hotel rooms offering a range of amenities are located The Ahwahnee's main building:
Featured Hotel Rooms: A limited number of rooms at The Ahwahnee allow you to enjoy Yosemite's breathtaking views from a balcony or large deck. These balconies are often shared with the adjoining room.
Classic Hotel Rooms: Classic rooms provide the classic experience at The Ahwahnee, with finely appointed rooms and signature views of Yosemite's scenery such as Glacier Point, Half Dome, and Yosemite Falls as well as the hotel lawn and grounds.
Standard Hotel Rooms: Appointed in warm fabrics, rich woods, and inspired by the period of historical significance, these rooms typically face the rear of the hotel or offer a limited view beneath the terrace eaves. Though they lack premium views, these rooms continue to enjoy The Ahwahnee’s excellent location, historic elegance and comfort, including in-room climate control and afternoon tea.
Bedding configurations include one king bed or two double beds.
Cottage RoomsLocated among the dogwood and pine trees, these rustic cottages have the comfort of a mountain lodge with Native American accents and natural wood furnishings. Each room has a private bath, television, telephone, small refrigerator and small stone patio.
The cottages now offer air conditioning and ceiling fans and are surrounded by shade trees that moderate daytime summer temperatures.
Standard Cottage Rooms: Our Standard Cottage rooms offer a cozy experience after a day of exploring the park. A little smaller in size but big on comfort, the four Standard Cottage Rooms each have a king bed.
Classic Cottage Rooms: Classic Cottage rooms offer a little more room and either have a king or two double beds.
Feature Cottage Rooms: Enjoy a warm, inviting crackling fire in our Feature Cottage Rooms. With only two of them, they book very quickly. In addition, these Feature Cottages have a sitting area and quaint bathroom (equipped with shower only).
ParlorsLibrary Suite Sitting Area
This Yosemite hotel's four parlors are luxuriously furnished and provide unparalleled views of the valley. The parlors combine with hotel rooms to create suites. (Not available individually).
Junior SuitesHistorically,The El Dorado Diggins Suite was a private dining room, a cocktail lounge and even a chapel during World War II. Now it is a very unique junior suite. This suite comfortably sleeps two in a king bed and features a sunken living room, large picture window, and slate entry.
The Mary Curry Tresidder Suite features a four-poster canopy bed and rich color palette, and has a decidedly romantic aura. The large bathroom offers craftsman designed cabinets and bidet. On her trip to Yosemite in 1983, Queen Elizabeth II stayed in this suite, and since then this unique Ahwahnee accommodation has been fondly referred to as “The Queen’s Room”.
