Membership Requirements for the BECU

This credit union was first organized in the 1930s for employees of Boeing, the airplane company. Today, the credit union has opened up its membership to include many more than just Boeing employees.

Anyone that lives, attends worship services, goes to school, or is employed in Washington State can join BECU. Anyone that is a current or previous employee of Boeing or one of its subsidiaries can be a member. In addition, employees of the Museum of Flight can join. Any business in the state of Washington is also eligible for BECU membership.

Terms of the BECU Visa Credit Card

This credit card offers a wide range of annual percentage rates from the extremely low 6.9% and 8.9% to the middle range of 10.9% and 12.9% all the way up to the high rate of 18%. Whether the cardholder gets one of the much-coveted low interest rates. entirely depends on their credit score.

This range of interest rates also applies to cash advances and balance transfers. If the cardholder wants to avoid interest payments all together, they must pay their credit card balance in full each month.
