Using an Electric Stairclimber Hand Truck Safely-3 Steps

Motorized stair climbing hand trucks are used by individuals whose loads require a different type of transport. Electric hand trucks are mostly used for moving cargoes up and down instead of forward and back ward. Today, it is one of the most innovative products available for the safe movement of heavy loads. This tool is easier to manipulate with exceedingly heavy loads, particularly with regard to tight spaces and stairways. Electronic hand trucks are also equipped with straps and other safety features to help reduce the risks of injuries to the person and to the load. Below is a process by which you will be guided accordingly on how to use electric hand trucks safely.

Check the Batteries and Controls

First, be certain that the battery is fully charged. Double check the terminals to confirm if they are connected correctly. Check also the entire body of the electric truck to determine any damages that could affect work. Test the controls if they are working as commanded. This will save you&rsquo,re the frustration later if the features you are expecting to function stopped working in the middle of a job.

Always test the hand truck before you load all the cargo. Be sure that it is working properly to avoid problems later on. Try to move it forward and backward and get see if it is balanced. Place the items following the low center gravity. Put the heaviest and bulkiest items on the center of the tongue. Arrange the loads by placing the heaviest load at the bottom and the lighter ones on top. Do not place fragile items that are likely to break at the bottom. Place these kinds of loads on top. If you are going to transport pressured products such as gas tanks, secure them with strap. Make sure the cargo is balanced with equal weight on both sides as much as possible. Do not exceed the maximum weight. Test the truck again and move it forward and backward. Check if the functions for upward and downward movements also work.

Push the truck to the desired location. Straight paths should not be an issue. If there is a necessity to get the loads on a pick-up truck or similarly high places, position the truck with its back facing the flat surface of the area where the load should be placed. Once ready, push the buttons that will lift the hand truck&rsquo,s tongue. Stop once the wheels are at a level with the flat surface. Hold the handle bars with both hands. Put one foot behind, farther back for support, and use the other to push the truck forward while your hands are pulling the truck backwards. Push the button that will bring the hand truck&rsquo,s tongue to its original alignment.
