I used the gl-8 model for moving and hoisting around heavy equipment that was close to 400 pounds.
This lift is wonderful.
The winch system raises and lowers the load precisely and locks in place when you get it where you want it. The large pneumatic tires let move easily. The smaller front castors are great on flat surfaces, but need attention on rough or uneven surfaces.
The forks flip upside down to give about two extra feet of height if you need it.
We used a lifting bar that straddled the forks and locked in place with pins to allow us to hoist with the pad eyes on things like motors.
Fantastic piece of equipment. Allows one or two people to safely move loads that would otherwise need five or six, if not a forklift.
At 145lbs you could throw it in a truck if you needed too. There are castors on the top to help you slide it in a truck.
It uses a cable winch and pulleys to provide the lift. Take care to wind the cable carefully and it will last a long long time.
