Customer Reviews Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring All-Season Tire

This review is from: Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring All-Season Tire - 235/55R18 100V (Automotive)

I purchased a new set of these for my 2008 Lexus RX400h. Within the first 5K miles, I started noticing excessive pulling, and vibration at 40mph. The tire dealer replaced the two front tires citing them as "defective." The problem remained, and after about six high speed balancing attempts and two 4-wheel alignments with no improvement, I ended up going to my Lexus dealership, and they determined that I had a tire "phase matching" issue, where the tire(s) were not properly rotated with respect to the wheel itself - OR - the tires were simply defective.

The tire dealer assured me that the tires were installed correctly with regard to phase matching. I finally returned all the Goodyears and purchased Michelin Energy MXV4s.

The difference was night and day. Immediately, since installation, no balancing issues, totally smooth from 0 to 90+ MPH, and the car tracks like it's on rails.

This could be some inherent Goodyear design mismatch to the Lexus RX, but bottom line, from now on the only tires I'll ever purchase are Michelins.
