In a nutshell, Heather Thomson is a fashion designer, stylist, entrepreneur, reality TV show celebrity, philanthropist, and (last but not least) wife and mom. And she&rsquo,s all about inspiring women everywhere to look and feel their absolute best.
Heather started Yummie by Heather Thomson after her first baby. Like lots of new moms, she struggled to lose that baby weight. As she exercised and dieted, she also took a trip to the shapewear department looking for a boost of confidence.
What she found was anything but confidence boosting &ndash, unattractive garments that squeezed the life out of her. So she did what any good designer would do. She took to her sewing machine and went to work. That&rsquo,s when the patented 3-panel shaping tank top and a whole new way of looking at shapewear was born.
Since then, Heather has continued to evolve her brand. She&rsquo,s launched comfortable and sexy collections that are changing the definition of shapewear, and expanded into slimming clothing and flattering denim. She&rsquo,s brought Yummie by Heather Thomson a long way over nearly six years, and plans to take it a lot further.
And she has more than her fashion sense to help her reach those goals. She has over 15 years of experience working with celebrities who helped her grow personally and professionally. She was the founding Design Director for the Sean &ldquo,Diddy&rdquo, Combs line, and worked with Beyoncé, Knowles and Jennifer Lopez to create and launch their labels.
Heather is also committed to raising awareness for organ donation and is deeply involved with the New York Organ Donor Network. It&rsquo,s a cause near and dear to her heart, since her son Jax received a liver transplant as a baby. As an active board member of the Kellner Liver Foundation. she&rsquo,s committed to helping children get lifesaving medical treatment.
But mostly, Heather is a woman trying to do her best to balance work, family, and still have a little time for herself. You can get a peek at all her juggling on the new season of BRAVO&rsquo,s Real Housewives of New York City airing later this year.
