A flexible bulbous type head with a built in retriever coil helps protect the inner walls of a toilet bowl from chipping or breaking, while the double layered 15/32" O.D. cable is easily worked through sharply angled trap way passages. A vinyl bowl guard allows the cable to be placed in the bottom of the bowl without scratching the bowl and allowing the cable to be released directly into the trap way.
The Handy-Stand is a compact portable work stand designed to help you conveniently stabilize General Wire drill style drain cleaners and provide a more hands free operation.
For normal up-close operation the RodRunner is set close to the drain opening, the wheel brake is set, the rear cable guide hose is attached. and the power switch is placed on the ground next to the machine as a foot pedal switch to turn on an off the machine. If you are lucky enough to have 10 to 15 feet of clear working area around the drain opening then you could stand behind the machine "lawn-mower" fashion, to keep the cable tight as it is rotated at high speed into the line.
This RodRunner drain cleaning machine can be purchased with one of three possible cable connectors, "G" connectors for General ®, cables, "L" connectors to match Electric Eel ®, -type cables, and "R" connectors to match Ridgid ®, -type cables. An optional set of jaws #R-R10AD can be purchased so this RodRunner can use 7/8", (15R10) cables to clear smaller, 2" to 4" lines.
An adjustable spring loaded safety clutch, designed to protect your cables from breakage, is mounted at the rear of the cable drive and easily accessed if needed. The safety clutch is factory set at 18-20 ft. pounds (20 pounds per foot) for added safety. Two 10" rear wheels and one 5" front caster wheel are attached to the frame of this machine for easy mobility and a folding handle provides a lower profile reducing storage space requirements in your service truck or van. The RodRunner weighs 90 lbs. (without cable.)
