April De Leon: I've never used the original Proactiv but I'm currently using Proactiv+ and it's supposed to be more gentle on the skin. For the first three days I didn't use it all over my face but just specifically my worst spots to see how my skin would react to it. Maniev Boord: My face was breaking out like never before after I stopped Proactiv. I tried many things-- home remedies such as raw honey mask, baking soda, raw apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, neutrogena, aveeno, expensive cream (skincerity) and prescription antibiotics to no avail. A few weeks ago I discovered a few natural skin products that have been a miracle to my damaged skin. I'm now convinced the best acne treatments are the natural ones. -----Cleanser: sea buckthorn body and face bar by Sibu ------Moisturizer: Egyptian magic cream with a few drops of pure unrefined marula oil -------spot treatment: neem oil Since I started using these natural products my skin hasn't breakout and the blemishes are fading noticeably. I know how damaging acne can be to one's self-esteem. Remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. I would seek out natural products first before using proactive/benzoyl peroxide.
