Baldor is a leading marketer, designer and manufacturer of industrial electric motors, drives and mechanical power transmission products. The company was founded in 1920 on the premise that a better motor is one that uses less electricity, and that belief stands true today.

Baldor is the largest motor and mechanical power transmission company in North America, and our products have exceptionally strong brand recognition for quality and value with our customers. In January 2011 Baldor was acquired by ABB and is now a proud member of the ABB group.

Industrial Electrical Motors and Drives

Baldor is pleased to offer the broadest range of industrial AC and DC electric motors to value-minded customers. Baldor-Reliance ®, motors range from 1/50th through 15,000 horsepower, and we sell and support the entire line of ABB IEC motors and medium voltage motors up to 100,000 horsepower. Our Super-E ®, motors are optimized for efficiency, ensuring the lowest operating costs for the customer. We also offer broad lines of brake-motors, explosion-proof, C-face, pump-motors and gear-motors to provide solutions for any purpose or environment. Baldor can offer custom motors to meet specific requirements. Custom motors are manufactured to the shortest lead times in the industry.

The variety of Baldor and ABB industrial adjustable speed drives range includes AC inverters and vector controls, DC SCR controls, servos and positioning products. Customers can now create packaged solutions of Baldor and ABB industrial motors and drives for most industrial applications.
