An Uncommon Print Size that Packs a Visual Punch: The 3. 5 x 5 Photo Print

An Uncommon Print Size that Packs a Visual Punch: The 3.5 x 5 Photo Print

If you're a professional photographer or hobbyist who is drawn to some of the less common photo sizes as a way to help your images further stand out, you'll want to consider 3.5 x 5 photo prints. Much less common than 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 photo prints, 3.5 x 5 photo prints offer an excellent way to help your image stand out, while allowing the size and shape of the photo to help tell the image's story.

Because 3.5 x 5 photo prints can be short and wide or tall and narrow, many photographers choose them to accentuate the shape and the feeling of the elements captured in the image. That means that anything from a rolling desert vista view to a full-length shot of the happy couple toasting their new engagement would be well served by the complementary aspect ratio of a 3.5 x 5 photo print.

Many people who use digital SLR or DSLR cameras choose 3.5 x 5 photo prints, as this photo size is quite similar to the native image size captured by these types of cameras. You will need to crop off a small part of your image on the short size to fit a 3.5 x 5 photo print, but are still able to keep a very similar aspect ratio, much more so than with many other photo print sizes available.

Getting started is simple! All you need to do is create a New Account and start uploading photo's via ROES or NPL's online Gallery.
