Ramping up the appeal of the mid-level member of its best-selling full-size pickup family, Ford has announced the 2014 F-150 STX lineup will be expanded to include a new SuperCrew cab configuration. The STX also will be available with a new Sport Package for the Regular, SuperCab and new SuperCrew body styles. "With the rapidly expanding full-size pickup market continuing to benefit from economic growth and replacement demand, price-conscious buyers are returning looking for an affordable truck with space, capability and style," said Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager. "Adding the Ford F-150 STX SuperCrew and the new STX Sport Package to our 2014 lineup gives these truck shoppers more value-oriented F-150 models to consider."
Key standard features in the new STX SuperCrew include body-color bumpers, 17-inch machined alloy wheels, a comprehensive Power Equipment Group, cruise control, air conditioning, Ford MyKey, premium cloth-covered 40/20/40 front bench seat and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control. It will offer the choice of the standard 302-horsepower/3.7-liter V6 or optional 360-horse/5.0-liter V8 that will enable the STX SuperCrew to tow up to a 9,500-lb trailer.
For buyers looking to add a bit more flash to their STX, the new Sport Package brings a host of high-profile enhancements. Exterior tweaks include a black billet grille with body-color surround, black tubular running boards, 20-inch machined aluminum/painted wheels with P275/55R20 tires and unique box graphics. Inside the STX Sport Package kit includes Black and Gray Piston cloth front seats -- 40/20/40 on the Regular Cab and 40/console/40 on SuperCab and SuperCrew variants -- as well as color-coordinated carpeting.
Starting prices for the 2014 Ford STX SuperCrew ranges from $34,240 for a rear-drive V6 to $38,665 for a V8-powered 4-wheel-drive version. Under the current available discounts, net pricing on the STX Sport Package is $980.
