Chuzzle

Customer Reviews

Platform for Display: PC | Edition: Jewel Case

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars  , ,

I purchased a mini laptop and this game was installed as a trial version. I thought it was fun so I ended up buying it. I do enjoy playing it, but now that I've played it repeatedly I've noticed several things that I wish were different:

2. My other beef is that I realized it's rigged. I notice that in the lower levels, you never get a "No More Moves" notice (meaning you need to use one of your "Scrambles.") But the higher the levels are, the more quickly the game will make sure you get locked out. Not only just making sure the Chuzzles won't/can't line up, but also by adding an unbelievable number of "locks" and repeated BIG Chuzzles. The placement of the locks and BIG Chuzzles are also rigged to ensure you losing, so if you've just knocked out a row of 4 red (for example), it will lock a red because there aren't many (or any) other reds left to use to release the lock. Then it starts throwing 2 and 3 locks on at a time, making sure you can't make a move. Once I counted 8 locks on at once. To me it's excessive and ruins the fun in the higher levels.

3. The "Help" feature and "How to Play" are of no use whatsoever. The only way you can figure out the point possibilities of different moves (rainbow chuzzles, combinations, etc.) is to play and watch the point values and calculate things.
