Ducane manufactures residential and light commercial air conditioners, heat pumps and gas and oil furnaces. Ducane is a part of the Allied Air division of Lennox. and is headquartered in South Carolina.
Corporate HistoryThe Ducane Co. was founded in Union City, N.J. in 1947. The company manufactured both HVAC equipment and grills and related accessories until Lennox purchased Ducane Co.'s Air Conditioning and Heating Division in 1999 for approximately $45 million. Today, Lennox regularly earns annual net sales well over $2.5 billion.
Product LinesDucane makes it easy to choose from among its gas furnaces by listing them as "good," "better" and "best" options. Top-of-the-line models -- the 95G2V and 80G2V -- feature two-stage, variable speed operation. Oil furnaces are available as lowboy, upflow and horizontal/counterflow and reach up to 83 percent AFUE.
Like its furnaces, Ducane offers central air conditioners and heat pumps that start with the "good" options capable of reaching 13 SEER, up to the "best" option, the 18 SEER 4AC18 and 4HP18. The latter option offers two-stage cooling and an Energy Star label.
