Zappos requested I help out and always being the type of person, I obliged. I purchased these for my girlfriend, so I can't really comment on the fit and feel. Being a dude, I don't really understand the looks and to be quite honest, all boots look the same to me. However, I will say that boot have brought me great joy. My gf finally stopped dropping hints about these things and also complaining about her wet feet. In addition I got some sweet loving for an entire week. After doing some math, it's actually a pretty good return on the investment considering my alternatives.

These Huntress boots rock. Here's my story. hope it helps someone else out. When I wanted to purchase a cute pair of green Hunters I immediately went and ordered the Hunter Adjustable for bigger calves. I'm 5'3 and weigh 165. I normally wear a 7 1/2 in shoes but almost always take an 8 in heels. In Uggs I wear a 7 but in the Ugg Coquette slippers I took a 6. So sizes vary I guess. I have an hourglass shape and carry the weight well (I was 150 before I had a baby, still working on those other few pounds!). Anyway - even when I weighed 135 (about 10 years ago) I still had athletic shapely calves. So I went for the adjustable buckle thinking it would work best. I ordered a size 8 in adjustable. Yuk! Those boots were ridiculously huge in the calf with a big flappy buckle contraption at the back of your calf. If you want to wear the fold over hunter socks with those boots. forget about it. It looks ridiculous. Also, the flappy thingy in the back shows the white interior of the calf flap so it just looks sloppy. So even if I ordered a 7 in those I wouldn't like that back buckle thing. Plus those boots hit me right around the lower to middle kneecap. looked sloppy. So then I thought maybe the regular Hunters will fit my calves after all - I then ordered the regular Hunters in green in a size 7 and big disappointment - I had to peel them off my calves. too tight! Yowza. So they weren't going to work. Even though they fit in the foot area. Once last resort was to try these Huntress and I hesitated because of the way they look in the pictures. they look like a goofy looking distortion of the regular Hunter with this weird curvy outty calf. I was not going to like these boots. Well, guess what. I love them! I do. They look fantastic on the leg. They look exactly like regular Hunters except you are the only one who knows they are the Huntress because you have like a finger's worth of wiggle room in the calf now. Thank God. This is it. These are the boots. Now - that said. I have them here in a 7. They are roomy for sure! I'm probably going to keep these 7s but I just have to go and order the 6 to try them on and make sure I have the best fit. They also hit at a very attractive point in the leg. at least two inches below the knee. Very nice. And, get this, there is no weird ankle thing going on that I have read other reviewers mention. I was nervous that the ankles on these boots would be too big or look weird. That happened to me once with a pair of Anne Klein boots the ankles looks gigantic and had to send those back. but these boots. they look terrific. Trust me. I'm picky. Give them a try - you've got nothing to lose!

Love these! I ordered the original Hunters and they were too fitted to my calves, so I returned them for these. These are perfect. I love that I can tuck my jeans in them! I read where some people said the ankle part seemed big or sloppy, and yes, it kind of is, but most rainboots are that way if you have tried many on. It did seem like they ran just a bit larger than the original style and I almost opted for a smaller size, but decided I could wear thick socks if it ended up bothering me that much. I like that my feet have room to breathe. My one and only issue with these (besides the fact that they are pricey) is that they don't come in more colors for this style. I went with these because I love the classic look and wasn't interested in the crazy prints that the other brands have, but I really wanted the gray color that the originals are available in. I opted for navy since they didn't have the gray. I am very happy with my purchase and with Zappos customer service!
