When it comes to popular daytime children's television, nothing might serve as catchy or as popular as Yo Gabba Gabba. Yo Gabba Gabba is still running and is running it's fourth season presently. With so many different segments, guest stars and additional features associated with Yo Gabba Gabba it is difficult to tire of the programming. Even if you are a stay at home parent looking for a show both you and your children can watch together, Yo Gabba Gabba might just be perfect for you. Of course, if you are new to the television programming and are a bit curious regarding what the show is about it is a good idea to do a bit of research about the show to fully understand what it is and what Yo Gabba Gabba provides you.
Yo Gabba Gabba is a live action television program which aires on Nickelodeon Jr (or just Nick Jr.). The show does have animated segments inter spliced with the live action material though, so there is always something ready to hold the attention of your child, regardless of what their age is and what they are into in. The show is based around an individual known as DJ Lance Rock. This individual is the narrator of the show and is friends with the rest of the characters. He has a group of friends with whom he spends most of his time with, including Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee and Plex. Of course, not all of these characters are humane as Muno is a red cyclops, Plex is a magic yellow robot, Toodee is a cat-dragon, Foofa is a flower bubble and Brobee is just a green monster.
Most of the show is based around music, which is exactly why there are so many guest musicians on the Yo Gabba Gabba show. The vast majority of the musicians on the show are up and coming stars who do have a rather impressive following and are currently building to higher levels. Some of the actual guest stars on Yo Gabba Gabba include The Killers, MGMT, Jack Black, My Chemical romance, Weezer and the Ting Tings.
Although the show is still running it has received a daytime Emmy nomination (dating back to 2008) for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design and Styling. With all the different segments involved with the show you are sure to love every moment of it with your children.
