Consultation:
This facility is modern and clean, privacy is not an issue I never felt like I was waiting with a bunch of people. I first went in for a consultation and the woman who met with me (can',t remember her name, 11+yrs experience) was extremely helpful, answered all my questions and concerns, helped me assess all my options without feeling like she was trying to up sell their services. She was factual and helped me understand the process and best number of treatments for my skin type.
What I got:
While I was sold on the place I wasn',t sure how I personally would respond to laser so I purchased a groupon 6 full leg treatments, which I ended up paying for an extra= 7 treatments total. I am medium build light/dark hair- European.
The Procedure:
After the first treatment I could already see results- I knew I made a good choice. What I really liked about this process is that they seem to really know what they are doing. For every appointment they first assess all areas of your skin and adjust the strength accordingly. For example: the upper part of my legs required less laser intensity then my shins needed, and she would adjust each time based on the results.
The laser they use spits out a burst of air during the procedure- it threw me off a little so I thought it was worth mentioning. I have a decent pain tolerance so occasionally I would almost fall asleep. The most discomfort I experienced was the feeling of a light sunburn or the feeling of being slapped- red, slightly puffy that would last the rest of the night, but it didn',t effect temperature of my showers much. However I would recommend not wearing a dress or skirt if your going out afterward only if your going home right away. Definitely wear something light and breathable.
Now that it',s over:
It',s been over a year now since my treatments and I have to say it',s the best cosmetic decision I ever made. While technically the hair still grows when it',s cold I maybe have to shave once every 6 months- considering the daily alternative that',s been well worth it to me. I went to another facility to get my underarms done and the results and experience just don',t compare.
