Kendama Brands

We stock the most popular competition style brands of kendamas, but below is a list of both current and historical models.

What are the differences?: The product descriptions have some details about the brands and colors.

  • Emeska: Boutique model from Quebec.
  • Hotaka: Quality clone, unusual colors.
  • Jonen: Nice budget clone.
  • KCN Battle: Excellent clone from China, its sibling KCN Pro is made in a different wood, with a different type of paint.
  • KC Winner: Excellent clone from China.
  • Mugen: Legendary quality, discontinued. The Kotobuki subbrand was a Mugen with gold sparkles in the paint.
  • Oozora: The only currently manufactured JKA certified model made in Japan.
  • Shin Fuji: Predecessor of the Oozora, the product passed to another company that still makes it. Rokurosen was a variation of Shin Fuji with latitudinal lines.
  • Shin Sakura: Discontinued JKA certified model, successor to the Sakura.
  • TK16 Master: High quality JKA model.
  • Yari: Premium wood clone, nice paint.
Spare Strings

Of currently produced models, the Oozora and the TK16 Master and TK Junior include a spare string. The Premium Hardwoods, Shin Fuji, and Taiyo don't. The old Mugen had a spare string, the Shin Sakura didn't. This is up to what the manufacturers include in the package. Spare strings and beads can be purchased separately .
