With three people, it took just over 8 hours from start to finish (including some refreshment breaks and rain delays). That said, it could have taken at least an hour less IF WE HAD ONLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS.
The instructions are actually quite good. Just do yourself a favor and DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING. Pictures may look self-explanatory, but trust me, the step-by-steps are there FOR A REASON! Also, take the extra few minutes to read the pre-assembly instructions - that will help as well.
As most any of these will advise, take the hour or so to lay everything out to inventory and label. I'd recommend doing it in the garage to make sure you don't lose anything in the grass (and protect you from the elements). The hardware is a particular pain - you'd think the person who took the time to count everything before they lumped it all into one big box could have gotten paid a little more to put them in labled baggies or something. Once you have everything accounted for and inspected, do yourself another favor and group everything by step number and lay it out the same way. That way you can just keep grabbing the next batch of materials without hunting for it again.
As for this set, the only problems were:
1) One warped corner post - not a big deal.
2) One cracked corner post at the pre-drilled holes - not a huge deal, either.
3) Provided two right-hand sand box support bases instead of one left and one right - again, not a big deal. but had to buy some slightly longer hex bolts to accommodate not having the countersunk drill holes (didn't want to mess with making more holes or delaying assembly by ordering the missing piece).
5) If you're going to use the tic-tac-toe board, DO NOT put all 7 slats in across the back rail! I personally don't care about this, but once again, had I read the instructions all the way through first, I'd had known about this oversight in the instructions.
6) Still haven't figured out what a couple of provided boards are for - maybe they're for use in a different set.
BOTTOM LINE: Seems to be of great quality, looks great, kids love it, and is so far extremely durable after one week. Doesn't creak or anything! "
