After his high school, he showed a little interest in his father’s oil pipe supply business shortly after he thought he would use a change in the environment. He went to Australia for some time and returned to Texas to pursue a law degree. Before he would write his final exams though, he realized his real passion was in the film industry.

Having been voted the most handsome student back in his high school days, he got his breakthrough into the film industry quite easy. He had started by appearing in student movies and TV commercials until Dazed and Confused happened in 1993. Later in 1996, he was casted in yet another great film, A Time To Kill’ starring other popular actors like Sandra bullock, Kevin Spacey and Samuel L. Jackson.

More recently, the now famous Matthew Mcconaughey starred in The Wedding Planner ’ in the year 2001 alongside Jennifer Lopez and in 2003 How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days ’ alongside Kate Hudson. Left with only six weeks to live, Ron went into advocating and taking drugs which only made the situation worse. After losing 30 pounds to take the role in the 2013’s Dallas Buyers Club ’, he bagged the 2014 best actor at the academy awards and golden globes.
