Charlotte Plummer Seafare Restaurant

Recommended Reviews

Charlotte Plummer',s is one of the 3 ",classy", (if such is applicable to a little coastal town) places in Rockport.  We first went there four years ago and stormed out swearing we would never darken that doorway again after promptly getting our salad and gumbo and having our entre order taken, and then sitting for the next hour plus watching others seated, order, eat and leave.  Our waiter simply disappeared and, we later found out from the manager, had never turned in our order.

We found Charlotte Plummer',s quite by accident today-a Saturday about 2:30.  We went to a restaurant up the water a bit that we had to walk out of it was so filthy and filled with cigarette smoke. So we landed here.

I will agree with the reviewed about friendliness. The older lady that greeted us at the door is not a happy person. But from there on out, the experience was great. A young girl that was bussing tables was very nice, and she recommended that we try the fried shrimp.

The waitress was prompt and very nice, bough she never came back for refills. We helped ourselves to the salad bar which we thoroughly enjoyed. The homemade potato salad is very good, and I agree with the review on the blue cheese dressing-super good.

Our shrimp was fantastic, and depending on your appetite you can order a small, medium, or large order. I got 6 in the small. Fresh, hot and crunchy. Perfect.

Overall great meal. $27.00 for a nice meal in a VERY CLEAN restaurant with really good food. And to the lady, owner, bored retired person. Whoever greats people at the door. please smile and appreciate those that choose to keep you in business.
